NEW YORK, N.Y. - Utah junior tight end Jake Murphy has been named to the John Mackey Award Preseason Watch List, announced today by the selection committee. The John Mackey Award is presented annually to the most outstanding collegiate tight end.
Murphy, who was an honorable mention all-Pac-12 selection last season, led Utah with four touchdown catches. He was second on the team in receptions (33) and third in receiving yards (349).
The John Mackey Award recipient will be announced on December 12, 2013.
