SALT LAKE CITY — The Jazz have announced that they have waived Raja Bell.

The 12-year veteran hasn't been with the team at all this year after a falling out last year. The team had a buyout in place that fell through in the summer.

Bell played in 102 games in the previous two seasons for the Jazz in his second stint with the team. Since he has been cut after March 1 he will be ineligible to be on any team's playoff roster.

This move will create a roster spot that is expected to be filled by Travis Leslie. Although nothing is official news of Leslie being called up from the D-League came out last Friday.
