SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas (AP) -- Stephan DuCharme and Jaycee Carroll scored 20 points each to lead Utah State past Iowa 75-62 at the South Padre Island Invitational on Saturday night.
Carroll, a 6-foot-2 guard, also had a game-high 12 rebounds as the Aggies (4-3) handed the Hawkeyes their second consecutive loss after they came to the South Texas tournament with a 4-0 record.
Utah State shot 59 percent from 3-point range and held Iowa to just 25 percent beyond the arc.
The Aggies' DeUndrae Spraggins had 14 points.
Texas native Justin Johnson was Iowa's top scorer with 14 points and made the all-tournament team. Kurt Looby had a couple of crowd-pleasing dunks and finished with 10 points and eight rebounds.
