LOGAN -- The schools of the WAC conference compiled a 4-3 record during the past week in college football.
This week, there are two conference games as Idaho visits Nevada and Utah State travels to New Mexico State. Two non-conference games feature Fresno State at San Diego State while Hawaii hosts BYU.
Both Louisiana Tech and San Jose State have completed their regular season schedules.
Here is a look at this week's WAC Conference news:
Fresno State: The Bulldogs fell to San Jose State at home, 27-24.
Derek Carr completed 19 of 28 passes for 276 yards with one touchdown and an interception.
Robbie Rouse had 151 yards rushing on 33 carries and two touchdowns while Isaiah Burse had seven receptions for 135 yards.
Rouse and placekicker Kevin Goessling both received honorable mentions for WAC Offensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively.
As of this week, Fresno State ranks 30th nationally in the passing game with a 267.3 yards per game average while ranking 72nd in the run game at 146.8 yards per game. The Bulldogs average 28.6 points per game, good enough for 56th nationally. However, the scoring defense ranks among the bottom of all FBS college football at 35.2 points against per game which is 107th nationally.
The Bulldogs' record drops to 4-8 on the season, including a 3-4 record in WAC conference play. With the loss, Fresno State falls two spots in the WAC standings to sixth overall. Fresno State has wins against Idaho, Utah State, FCS North Dakota, and Hawaii and losses against Nebraska, California, Ole Miss, Boise State, Nevada, Louisiana Tech, New Mexico State, and San Jose State.
Fresno State will complete their season on the road against San Diego State this Saturday.
Hawaii: The Warriors knocked off Tulane 35-23 at home.
David Graves completed 21 of 38 passes for 260 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions. Graves also rushed eight times for 57 yards and a score.

Joey Iosefa had 63 yards on 12 carries with two touchdowns while Trevor Davis had seven receptions for 81 yards and two scores.
Graves, linebacker Corey Parades, and defensive back John Hardy-Tuliau were given honorable mentions for WAC Offensive, Defensive, and Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively.
This past week, an anonymous letter has raised allegations that Hawaii football players have been involved in a point-shaving scheme, but police said last Tuesday that they don't have enough information to launch an investigation.
In a statement Wednesday, the NCAA expressed its concern over the allegations but did not address whether it would investigate.
"We are extremely concerned by the point-shaving allegations involving University of Hawaii football student-athletes and have been in contact with the school since early November," the NCAA said. "We take any allegation of point shaving very seriously as it is a crime that threatens two core NCAA principles -- the well- being of student-athletes and the very integrity of intercollegiate sport."
Hawaii's passing attack ranks 10th in the nation at 311.0 yards per game. The scoring offense continues to be a strength as the Warriors average 32.4 points per game, a ranking of 32nd overall. Hawaii's rushing attack struggles overall as they average 101.9 yards per game on the ground, which is 111th nationally. Hawaii's defense continues to sit in the middle of the pack, giving up 28.1 points per game for a ranking of 72nd overall.
Hawaii improves to a 6-6 overall record with the win, including a 3-4 mark in conference play while ranking fourth overall in the WAC. The Warriors have wins over UC- Davis, Colorado, Louisiana Tech, New Mexico State, Idaho, and Tulane with losses coming against San Jose State, Washington, UNLV, Utah State, Nevada, and Fresno State.
The Warriors can become bowl eligible with a win this weekend at home against BYU.
Idaho: The Vandals had the week off as they prepared to finish their season this Saturday on the road against Nevada.
The Vandals passing game ranks 89th overall with a 189.2 yards per game average. The rushing attack continues to be a major problem as Idaho ranks 104th nationally at 111.9 yards per game. The offense ranks near the bottom in scoring at 21.8 points per game overall, which is 99th overall as well. The defense gives up 31.2 points per game, a ranking of 91st overall.
Idaho's record stands at 2-9 on the season, including 1-5 in WAC conference play and a ranking of dead last in the conference. The Vandals have losses to New Mexico State, Bowling Green, Fresno State, Texas A&M, Virginia, Louisiana Tech, Hawaii, BYU, and Utah State with victories coming against FCS North Dakota and San Jose State.
Louisiana Tech: The Bulldogs captured their first WAC conference championship in 10 years with a 44-0 annihilation of New Mexico State.
Colby Cameron threw for 217 yards on 19 of 34 passing with one touchdown and an interception.
Hunter Lee had 148 yards on 26 carries with three touchdowns while Taulib Ikharo had eight receptions for 105 yards and a score.
Louisiana Tech will play in the San Diego County Poinsettia Bowl on Dec. 21st.
Adrien Cole was given an honorable mention for WAC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance, while Lee and punt returner Craig Johnson were named the WAC Offensive and Special Teams Players of the Week.
The Bulldogs finish the regular season ranked 44th overall in passing yards at 247.1 yards per game while collecting 150.4 yards per game on the ground, which ranks 68th. Louisiana Tech averages 30.6 points per game on offense, a mark of 40th overall while the defense allows 22.5 points per game, a ranking of 37th overall.
Louisiana Tech's record moves to 8-4, including a 6-1 mark in conference play, good enough for first place overall in the WAC and the outright conference championship. The Bulldogs have losses to Southern Miss, Mississippi State, Houston, and Hawaii with wins against Idaho, Utah State, Central Arkansas, San Jose State, Fresno State, Ole Miss, Nevada, and New Mexico State.
Nevada: The Wolf Pack was unable to fully recover from the loss of quarterback Cody Fajardo as they fell 21- 17 to Utah State.
Fajardo went 19-for-25 passing for 180 yards and rushed 10 times for 45 yards before being knocked out of the game in the third quarter with an ankle injury.
Tyler Lantrip filled in and completed 8 of 10 passes for 135 yards and a touchdown.
Lampford Mark had 111 yards on 22 carries and a touchdown while Rishard Matthews had 12 receptions for 205 yards and a score.
The Wolf Pack was also without running back Mike Ball on Saturday after being dismissed from the team for an unspecified rules violation.
Coach Chris Ault said in a statement last Tuesday that the Wolf Pack's leading rusher violated team rules and protocol so there was no choice but to dismiss him. Ault declined to provide any details.
Matthews and linebacker Brandon M. Marshall were given honorable mentions for WAC Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively.
Nevada ranks 31st overall in passing yards at 262.8 yards per game while the rushing attack remains at 9th overall, averaging 254.2 yards per game. The Wolf Pack also ranks 38th overall in scoring offense at 30.8 points per game. The lone lower ranking comes as a result of their scoring defense, which stands at 64th overall with a 27.3 points against average.
Nevada falls to 6-5 on the season, including 4-2 in conference play, which ranks third overall within the WAC. The Wolf Pack has losses against Oregon, Texas Tech, Boise State, Louisiana Tech, and Utah State with wins against New Mexico, San Jose State, UNLV, Fresno State, New Mexico State, and Hawaii.
Nevada will close out the regular season at home with a game against Idaho.
New Mexico State: The Aggies were crushed by Louisiana Tech 44-0 this past Saturday.
Travaughn Colwell completed 15 of 25 passes for 119 yards and three interceptions while also rushing 12 times for 10 yards.
Kenny Turner had 149 yards rushing on 29 attempts while Taveon Rogers caught five passes for 56 yards.
Turner was given an honorable mention for WAC Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts.
New Mexico State's dropped out of the Top 20 nationally in passing yards as they now rank 24th overall at 274.9 yards per game. The rushing game, however, continues to struggle as it ranks 92nd overall at 123.3 yards per game. The Aggies average 24.8 points per game, a ranking of 77th in the nation while the defense struggles to stop teams from scoring points as they rank 115th overall at 37.8 points against per game, five spots from the bottom.
The Aggies record drops to 4-8 on the season, including a 2-4 mark in WAC conference play. New Mexico State has losses to San Jose State, Ohio, UTEP, Hawaii, Nevada, Georgia, BYU, and Louisiana Tech with victories coming against Idaho, Minnesota, New Mexico, and Fresno State. NMSU falls from sixth to seventh in the WAC standings with the loss.
New Mexico State will play their final game of the season at home this Saturday against Utah State in the "Aggie- Bowl".
San Jose State: The Spartans completed their season with a 27-24 victory at Fresno State.
Matt Faulkner completed 27 of 42 passes for 363 yards with two touchdowns and an interception.
Brandon Rutley rushed 19 times for 58 yards and a score while Noel Grigsby had eight receptions for 114 yards and a touchdown.
Faulkner, safety Cullen Newsome, and placekicker Jens Alvernik were given honorable mentions for WAC Offensive, Defensive, and Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively.
The Spartans finish their season ranked 23rd overall in the passing game at 276.8 yards per game. However, SJSU ranks 112th nationally in rushing yards at 101.8 yards per game. San Jose State averages only 24.5 points per game overall, an 80th overall ranking while giving up 30.3 points per game, a ranking of 85th overall.
San Jose State record stands at 5-7 on the season, including a 3-4 mark in conference play. SJSU has wins against Hawaii, New Mexico State, Colorado State, Navy, and Fresno State with losses to UCLA, Nevada, Stanford, BYU, Louisiana Tech, Idaho, and Utah State. The Spartans finish the campaign ranked fifth in the WAC standings.
Utah State: The Aggies became bowl eligible for the first time since 1997 with a 21-17 victory over Nevada.

Adam Kennedy completed 7 of 14 passes for 140 yards and a touchdown with one interception. He also ran 11 times for 41 yards.
Kerwynn Williams rushed nine times for 71 yards and a score. Robert Turbin had 61 yards on 18 carries along with two receptions for 36 yards and a score.
Matt Austin had two catches for 61 yards and a touchdown while Eric Moats had one catch for 53 yards.
Austin and punter Tyler Bennett were given honorable mentions for WAC Offensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively.
Wagner was named the WAC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against the Wolf Pack. He made a game-high 15 tackles and also recovered a fumble that came on a 4th- and-1 play from the Utah State 12-yard line with just over five minutes left in the game to help preserve the victory. He moved up to second place on the school's career tackles list with 433.
The Aggies rank 6th overall nationally in rushing yards at 267.1 yards per game. The passing game still ranks near the bottom at 186.5 yards per game, a ranking of 92nd overall. Utah State knows how to score as they average 35.5 points per game, a ranking of 19th overall. The defense sports a 78th overall ranking, allowing 28.9 points per game.
Utah State's record improves to 6-5, including a 4-2 mark in conference play which moves them to second overall in the WAC standings. The Aggies have beaten FCS Weber State, Wyoming, Hawaii, San Jose State, Idaho, and Nevada with losses against Fresno State, Auburn, Colorado State, BYU, and Louisiana Tech.
The Aggies will be seeking their first five-game winning streak in 18 years this Saturday as they will play in the "Aggie-Bowl" against New Mexico State in Las Cruces.
