Melissa Rivers has kick-started her producing biz, selling weekly skein "The Craze" to Discovery Network's Fit TV and reality pilot "The Stylist" to the TV Guide Channel.

Both projects will be hosted and exec produced by Rivers through her Keep Clear production company. Rivers and partner-manager Steven Jensen, who also will exec produce, launched the shingle earlier this year in conjunction with a first-look deal Rivers inked with TV Guide.

"I'm pretty passionate about the subjects of both of these shows," said Rivers, who added that Keep Clear is working on several other series projects for cable.

"The Craze" is a five-part series that will feature Rivers and a panel of ordinary folks testing the claims made for some of the popular home-fitness equipment and products. Skein, also produced by Independent TV Group, launches March 6.

Then there's "The Stylist," a reality competition in search of aspiring celeb stylists. Rivers says the show is similar to elimination skein "The Apprentice," with contestants competing in a series of challenges that test their fashion industry know-how.

"As an authority in fashion, Melissa knows what these stylists go through," Jensen said. "It's dog eat dog. It seems glamorous and easy, but these participants don't know what's going to hit them."

Pilot will air as a special Nov. 16. If greenlit to series, new episodes would most likely air in February.
