PROVO, Utah (AP) — The manager of a campground in Provo says two boys are in stable condition after a tree fell on their family tent.
The Daily Herald reports (http://bit.ly/29BWSqi ) that Lakeside RV Campground manager Dale Krafton says one of the boys has a broken leg and the other a cracked skull, but their father says neither boy is in critical condition.
A cottonwood tree fell on the family's campsite around 4 a.m. Monday. Park resident Jim Mounteer says he was getting ready to walk his dogs when he heard the crash and ran to help the family.
Mounteer says he called 911 and began working with about a dozen people to help the 7- and 9-year-old boys pinned under the tree.
Police are still investigating what caused the tree to fall.
