(KSL News) -- Troubling wildfires in Southern Utah are almost under control, but flames have already torched more than 5,000 acres near Hurricane.

Land managers brought in planes to try to control the fires. A lightning storm started a dozen fires near the Utah-Arizona border.

Firefighters have contained the biggest, the Sky Ranch Fire, south of Hurricane.

Roads and rocky cliffs acted as firelines and helped put out the Dammeron Bench Fire we told you about last night.
