LAS VEGAS (AP) — The body of a woman was found trapped under heavy debris in a wash near the Las Vegas Strip, the day after heavy flash flooding swept through the area.
The woman was discovered about 7 a.m. Friday in a wash near Giles Street and Mandalay Bay Road, a block east of Las Vegas Boulevard.
She hasn't been identified.
It's not known yet if her death was caused by or related to the flash flooding that swept through the area Thursday afternoon and evening.
But the Clark County fire department said her body was found trapped underneath heavy debris in the wash.
Police say it's also unknown how long she had been there but that they do not suspect foul play.
