PITTSBURGH (AP) — Police say a Pittsburgh teacher has been charged with shoving a kindergartner, pulling a chair out from underneath the girl and pinning her with it before throwing it down on the floor next to her.
A criminal complaint states the outburst happened after two girls at Pittsburgh Faison K-5 argued over a seat in late April. Video surveillance shows the student had pushed the teacher, Danielle Anderson, when Anderson confronted her.
Anderson's attorney, Paul Ellis, tells the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette a warrant is out for her arrest and they are working with police. Police say Anderson, of Turtle Creek, has denied any wrongdoing.
Anderson faces charges including aggravated assault, unlawfully restraining a minor and child endangerment.
The district says she has been suspended.
