HARRISBURG, Ark. (AP) — The Arkansas Department of Human Services say two teenagers have escaped the Harrisburg Juvenile Treatment Center in northeastern Arkansas.
DHS spokeswoman Amy Webb says in a news release that the 16- and 17-year-old boys escaped Tuesday when they were walking out of their dormitory and ran from staff. Webb says staff members chased the two, but were unable to catch them and that local law officers were unable to find the two.
Webb says both teenagers were being held on felony charges, but that state law prohibits release of the specific crimes.
