DOVER, Del. (AP) — Several Delaware school districts have cancelled after-school activities in advance of a winter storm bringing snow and ice to the Mid-Atlantic region.
Tuesday's cancellations came as forecasters issued a winter weather advisory warning of sleet and freezing rain falling Tuesday afternoon before changing over to rain. The rain was to continue Wednesday before changing over to snow, with up 8 inches expected in some parts of Delaware.
A winter storm watch was in effect for late Wednesday through Thursday evening.
