JORDANELLE STATE PARK — Jordanelle State Park is now home to the first “open-water park system in the state,” and beginning June 23, it will be open daily for the summer.

Located about 6 miles north of Heber City, Jordanelle State Park is one of the biggest state parks in Utah, with the reservoir totaling around 320,000 acre feet, making it a great place for water recreation. The park previously offered flyboarding lessons and rents paddleboards, kayaks, water trampolines, pontoon boats and wakeboard boats.

But on June 4, the state park expanded its water recreation offerings, and Aqua x Zone held a soft opening for its new floating water park. Aqua x Zone is an inflatable water sports park that is designed to allow up to 65 people to run, jump, swing and swim at any one time, according to the company website.

“It seems that everyone who has the opportunity to see the system always wants to run out and play,” the website says. “Now, we invite everyone to come join us for a great time. You can be an athlete that wants to challenge your body, a kid that wants to let loose, or an adult that wants to just be a kid again.”

Participants at the floating water park must be 6 years old or older and at least 48-inches tall. Life jackets are provided and must be worn at all times on the floating park.

A session lasts one hour and costs $20 for adults and $15 for kids 6-10 years old. A full day on the floating park costs $50 for adults and $30 for kids 6-10 years old. Tickets can be purchased at the beach house or online.

Beginning Thursday, June 23, the Aqua x Zone Water Park and Fly Dive activities will be open daily — Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Location: 515 State Road 319, Heber City
