SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — A former marketing director at Symantec Corp. has pleaded guilty to charges she embezzled more than $1.3 million to help fund a lavish lifestyle.

U.S. Attorney Melinda Haag said Wednesday that Lena "Mickey" Jacobs Coombs of Highland, Utah, pleaded guilty to wire fraud charges.

The charges accuse Coombs of using company credit cards while working for the tech company in Utah from 2010 to 2012.

Prosecutors say she used the money to pay for personal expenses including vacations, home remodeling, childcare and concerts. They say Coombs also created a shell company to embezzle money from the Mountain View, California-based Symantec Corp.

Coombs' sentencing hearing is scheduled for April 1, 2015 in federal court in San Jose. The 48-year-old faces 20 years in prison and a fine of $250,000, plus restitution.
