BRIGHTON — Fresh snow has fallen across the Wasatch Front, and it has many Utahns eager to get outside.

The valley didn't get more than an inch of snow, while certain areas in the mountains received up to 6 or more inches Saturday.

And though the snow brings cold temperatures, KSL Weatherman Dan Guthrie said the Salt Lake City area has had below average temperatures for this time of year.

"So, Sunday should be in the 50 degree range, but temperatures will only reach 30 degrees. That's cold for this time of year," Guthrie said.

Along with the change of season came an announcement from Brighton Resort for a change in its opening lift day.

The opening date will be Tuesday, November 18 for the 2014-2015 winter season for the Majestic and Explorer chair lifts.

Crest Express is expected to open soon after.
