PROVO — The healthy habits of students at Brigham Young University have once again caught national attention.

BYU was recently dubbed the healthiest college by The Daily Beast. They used College Prowler lists to determine how healthy schools were based on drinking, drug use and healthy campus dining.

BYU's honor code likely earned the school's perfect scores of 10 for both "Best School for Non-drinkers" and "Best Drug-free Campuses." They received their lowest score of 7.7 for "Healthiest Campus Dining."

After being named the most stone-cold sober school for 16 years in a row by the Princeton Review, the ranking may not come completely as a surprise.

All of the colleges in the top 10 are private colleges, some of which have policies governing alcohol use, but BYU has the largest student body by far. Nine of the 10 schools have ties to Christian churches.

The top ten healthiest colleges:

  1. Brigham Young University
  2. Biola University
  3. Liberty University
  4. Wheaton College
  5. Oral Roberts University
  6. Southeastern University
  7. Cedarville University
  8. Bethel University (MN)
  9. Pepperdine University
  10. Evangel University
