SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - A friend has launched a website on behalf of embattled Utah Attorney General John Swallow, who faces allegations he was part of a high-level bribery scheme.

Jeremy Roberts' website - utahag.com - claims Swallow did nothing wrong in meeting with Utah businessman Jeremy Johnson, and urges Utahns not to rush to judge Swallow.

Roberts, a marketing specialist and Republican from Utah County, says Swallow is a friend he met through political and church activities. He's paying for the website through his political action committee One PAC.

Swallow has denied the allegations by Johnson, who has been charged with Internet fraud. Johnson has said Swallow was part of a failed effort to derail a federal investigation into his business practices.

The U.S. Attorney's Office is investigating the allegations against Swallow.
