Outlook
Wildfire smoke will continue to waft around the region for the next few days with varying concentrations. High pressure will strengthen and push temperatures into the triple digits along the Wasatch Front for the weekend. Some moisture will move into southern Utah today and will bring the chance for a dry thunderstorm each afternoon from Thursday through Saturday. Deeper monsoonal flow could become more established Sunday through early next week, so storms that do develop will have a better chance to produce some rainfall and potentially flash flooding. - Matt Johnson, KSL Weather 8.5.26
