Outlook
High pressure will strengthen through the middle of the week pushing temperatures to near 100 degrees on Wednesday afternoon. Look for generally dry conditions through the first half of the week with smoke in the area from local fires. Wednesday and Thursday we could see a little bit of moisture sneak into that high pressure flow, this would present the chance for some afternoon pop-up t-storms in central Utah both days. Models right now are in agreement that wind will pick up this weekend with a significant cool-down by Sunday. We need to keep an eye on this for fire danger. - Matt Johnson, KSL Weather 6.22.26
