WELLINGTON, Nova Scotia — It looks like we’ve been wrong about dogs being a man’s best friend — apparently a buck is a dog’s best friend.
Jamie-Rae Fifield saw her 3-year-old French bulldog, Ellie-Mae, playing with a young buck in her backyard. Fifield posted on YouTube that the dog and deer had been playing for about 30 minutes before she decided to film the fun interaction.
Ellie-Mae runs back and forth in front of the deer, taunting the buck in a tag-like game. The interaction looks like it could take a dangerous turn, but the deer continues to humor the dog by chasing it. The fun ends after Ellie-Mae chases the wild buck into a grove of trees at the edge of the yard.
While some may say this is not the most responsible pet care, the dog and deer seemed to have fun.
