EPHRAIM — State and local investigators thwarted a potential terroristic threat to the Snow College homecoming football game and activities last week, according to the Utah Attorney General's Office.

Officers responded to an anonymous post on a website not associated with the college reading in part, "Let's just say homecoming this weekend is gonna go out with a bang," according to the office.

Police from Ephraim, Kane County, Sanpete County and Snow College worked with state investigators to devise a public safety plan for the homecoming activities, which were held without incident.

They also said they have identified and contacted the person who made the post and an investigation is ongoing.
