Dusty Fielding didn't win his PGA Tour Card at Q-School.

That only went to the low 25 scores and ties, but he finished with a solid 68 final round and a total score of 13 under par and earned exempt status on the Web.com Tour for next year——and that's very good news for the Richfield, Utah native that now lives in St. George.

The Web.com Tour is owned and operated by the PGA Tour and is solid financially with a full schedule of events and next year replaces the Q-School as the pathway to a PGA Tour card.

The top 25 money earners on the Web.com Tour will earn exempt status on the PGA Tour instead of the gut wrenching six-day do-or-die Q-School test. Thus, instead of proving himself worthy of the PGA Tour in a six-day qualifying tournament a player must now prove himself on the year-long Web.com Tour. There will still be a Q-School, but it will be for exempt spots on the Web.com Tour.

Dusty has enjoyed a great 2012. In August he had the lead on the back nine of the Siegfried & Jensen Utah Open at Oakridge Country Club only to lose by 2 shots. Fielding also gained valuable experience as a caddy for Jay Don Blake on numerous Champions Tour events including carrying the bag for Blake's win in 2011 in Korea.

Daniel Summerhays will remain the only Utahn on the PGA Tour. This past year he retained his card by winning more than $1 million.

Dean Wilson, the other Utahn playing in the PGA Tour Q-School, finished in 104th place and that gave him conditional status on the Web.com Tour for next year. The scoreboard for the Utahns was as follows:

T49- Dusty Fielding, 72-70-67-71-71-68-419, at minus 13.

T104- Dean Wilson, 72-73-67-68-74-71-425, at minus seven.

164- Scott Pinckney, 75-71-74-75-74-76, at plus 13.
