In advance of Utah and Colorado officially joining the conference on July 1, the Pac-12 unveiled their new logo Wednesday.

The full press release release follows:

In preparation for Colorado and Utah becoming official members of the Conference on July 1, the Pac-10 has released a music video on YouTube that unveils the new Pac-12 mark. The video features a group of animated Pac-12 students wearing sports uniforms from all of the member institutions performing a card routine that might otherwise be seen in the student section during a college football game. The students show off their personalities and dance their way to the logo unveiling.

Utah fans will start seeing the Pac-12 logo immediately in promotions for the Utah football Red-White game coming up on April 16. Pac-12 logos will initially be painted on the Rice-Eccles Stadium field for the Red-White game and will be replaced by permanent patches sewn into the FieldTurf surface in the summer. Official Utah Pac-12 merchandise will go on sale July 1 on UtahUtes.com.

"With so many of our fans active on social media outlets like YouTube, Facebook and Twitter, we wanted to create something that could easily be shared and we felt this would be a fun and natural way for us to launch the new Pac-12 mark," Chief Marketing Officer Danette Leighton said. "We wanted to do something creative that allowed some of our student-athletes and fans to give the new logo life. We also wanted to reflect the enthusiasm that all of our institutions have for the Pac-12 becoming a reality this summer."
