SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Utah moved up two spots to No. 12 in the latest Associated Press football poll while rival BYU tumbled to 18th after the Cougars' first loss of the season.

Utah beat Colorado State 49-16 on Saturday and is 8-0 for just the fourth time in school history. The Utes are off until Nov. 1, when they play at New Mexico.

BYU was ranked ninth last week, but the Cougars lost at TCU on Thursday 32-7. That ended BYU's 16-game winning streak, which was the longest in major college football.

The Cougars are at home Saturday against UNLV.

TCU went from unranked to No. 15 in the poll.
