MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Students and faculty were temporarily evacuated from a couple buildings at the University of Minnesota because of a possible chemical leak.
The Minneapolis Fire Department responded to the sixth floor at Kolthoff Hall Thursday morning. Fire officials say a chemical odor appeared to be coming from a machine that sterilized equipment. Crews determined readings for harmful chemicals were negative.
Smith Hall is connected to Kolthoff and was also evacuated.
