SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah (AP) — Some 60 people rallied outside the Saratoga Springs police station to protest the fatal shooting of a black man.
Demonstrators demanded that two officers be held accountable for the Sept. 10 shooting of 22-year-old Darrien Hunt.
The Salt Lake Tribune reports protesters chanted, "Hey, ho, police brutality's got to go" and "Shot in the back for being black."
Saturday's protest drew friends and family of Hunt and other supporters.
The shooting occurred after police responded to a call about a suspicious man with a sword near businesses.
Hunt's family says an independent autopsy shows he was shot in the back as he fled.
The Utah County Attorney's Office, which is investigating the shooting, has said there was no indication race was a factor.
The office declined comment Saturday.
