BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Idaho Republican lawmakers working on gun legislation say they are working on a comprehensive bill seeking to rewrite most of the state's concealed gun laws. Legislators announced the new plan today at the same time declaring that the so-called "constitutional carry" bill is dead, calling it a poorly written piece of legislation.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — An Idaho Senate panel is considering a new group to negotiate public lands management with the federal government. A work group recently recommended that Idaho should work with the federal government to obtain federally-controlled public lands rather than demanding a takeover.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — An Idaho House panel wants to stop people from collecting the state's grocery tax credit while also receiving food stamps or while in jail. Backers of the bill argue it will crack down on tax fraud. The plan would allow state agencies to share information with the Idaho tax commission to find violators.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Idaho authorities are telling movie theaters serving alcohol that they can't provide drinks during showings of the erotic blockbuster "Fifty Shades of Grey." The Idaho State Police's Alcohol Beverage Control has contacted at least two theaters showing the popular R-rated flick, ordering them to comply with a law against serving booze to people watching sexually explicit films.
