SALT LAKE CITY -- Salt Lake City police say they have a few leads in a shooting that happened near 1400 West and 1300 South last weekend. The incident left a man injured and a woman in extremely critical condition.

On July 19, officers found a 20-year-old woman shot in the head inside a Glendale home. At a nearby home they found a man in his 20s with a gunshot wound to the chest.

The neighborhood had been involved in a party, and police questioned about 30 witnesses. Now detectives are looking for two vehicles that could be tied to the suspects in the shooting.

"It's a van with a paint scheme [of] fluorescent yellow changing to green from top to bottom," said Salt Lake City police Detective Dennis McGowan. Its make and model is not known.

The second vehicle is described as a white, square, older-model car. Its make and model is also unknown.

As for the victims, McGowan said, "The one who was hurt more seriously, she's still in extremely critical condition and it's been a week now, or eight days, since the incident."

Anyone with information on the case can contact the Salt Lake Police Department at 801-799-INFO (810-799-4636). Officers are accepting anonymous calls.
