In exchange for dropping a child sexual assault charge Ryan Andrews admitted to helping his wife abuse his little girl until she died. There is quite a bit of graphic content in his statement.

He says on the day of Shelby's murder he came home from work to punish Shelby for problems she caused his wife, Angela Andrews.

He says he and his wife forced Shelby into a linen closet and removed the handle so she couldn't get out. His statement obtained by the Deseret Morning News reads:

"Angela and I knew the space between the shelving in the closet and the closet door was too small for her to fit, but we put her into the closet anyway and forced the door shut. We then left the room and went to watch television."

Andrews says Shelby called for help, saying she couldn't breathe and was vomiting.

Andrews says he didn't let Shelby out of the closet until she was dead.

Andrews went on to say that earlier that day, Angela forced the little girl to eat her own feces as punishment for having an accident. He also witnessed instances where he says Angela slammed Shelby's head in the stairs and sexually assaulted the ten year-old with her heel and a can of Lysol.

In exchange for Andrew's plea, a sexual abuse charge was dropped. Andrew's sentencing hearing will take place early next year.

Prosecutors are moving forward with their case against Angela Andrews, who was recently charged for using Meth in jail.

Ryan Andrews will now testify against his wife, who is being charged with murder and aggravated sexual abuse of a child. Angela's defense lawyer wants her to undergo a mental evaluation.
