LEHI — Wizards and muggles united late Thursday night for the premiere of the final Harry Potter film.
Theaters across the state were sold out for midnight showings of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2." But a few lucky fans got the chance to see it at private, early screenings.

The 'Harry Potter' films have made billions of dollars, and the final installment may be the most successful to date.The Megaplex 8 at Thanksgiving Point offered a marathon showing of every Potter film, starting at 6:00 Thursday morning.
"Twenty hours of Harry Potter? I couldn't do it. They're hardcore fans," said Tyler Thiriot, Megaplex 8's general manager.
Harry Potter has captured the imaginations of an entire generation of fans; many grew up alongside him.
"It's really cool, and I've read all the books," Sage Doyal said.
Pediatric dentist Keith Poulsen has rented out theaters for his patients for every Harry Potter film opening, and he dresses for the occasion.
"I was Voldermort last year. That was a little too heavy for a lot of people, from what they said. So I lightened up with Dumbledore (this year)," Poulsen said.
His patients dress up too. Jared Musser came dressed as Harry Potter, with his faithful owl on his back. "My mom actually made the owl for Halloween last year, and my grandma made the scarf," he said.
The final chapter in the beloved series is more dark, more grown up than the previous films. But fans who started the series 10 years ago were excited to see it through to the end.
