ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) -- A Utah man whom police believe fatally shot his wife and her son before turning a gun on himself remains hospitalized in Las Vegas.
A University Medical Center administrator tells The Spectrum of St. George that 46-year-old Richard "Rick" Jones remained in critical condition on Sunday.
Jones has been hospitalized since Friday after suffering what police say was a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Washington City, Utah police responded to a domestic violence call at Jones's home on Friday evening.
Officers found 42-year-old Michelle Jones and her 19-year-old son, Owen Ellis, dead in the driveway. An injured Richard Jones was found in a bedroom inside the home.
City Public Safety Director Jim Keith says an investigation is ongoing.
