GOSHEN, Utah County — Three people suffered minor injuries when a small plane crashed in a "remote" area near Goshen Thursday evening.

The crash occurred about 9:30 p.m., according to Utah County Sheriff's Sgt. Ray Ormond, who said search and rescue responded to the scene and "were able to help assist" getting the three occupants out of the plane.

"Sounds like they had some minor injuries," Ormond said. "Those persons, to my understanding, were treated and evaluated on scene."

Federal aviation officials were notified of the crash and are investigating what caused it. No additional information was immediately available.
