OGDEN — Hip hop star Michael Render, known by his stage name Killer Mike, fresh off of three Grammy Award wins last month, is one of several musical artists set to headline this year's Ogden Twilight Concert Series.

Killer Mike, who recently won awards for best rap performance, best rap song and best rap album, is slated to perform at the Ogden Amphitheater on Aug. 8, alongside indie band Hippo Campus, a group also performing at this year's Kilby Court Block Party in Salt Lake City this May, according to S&S Presents, which organizes the annual event.

Event organizers also revealed almost all the other Ogden Twilight acts on Thursday. The list also includes indie darling St. Vincent, the solo project of Annie Clark, who won her third Grammy in 2022 and is set to release her much-anticipated seventh studio album next month. She will perform with multi-instrumentalist solo performer Eartheater on Aug. 14.

DJ Diplo, also a three-time Grammy winner, as well as indie acts Broken Social Scene and Cannons are also headed to Ogden this year. Organizers previously announced that French indie rockers Phoenix would kick off this year's lineup, playing with Canadian rock band Metric on May 16. Aug. 23 remains the only date left to be announced.

"Last year was our 'We're going to cry together...' lineup. This year is our 'We're going to dance together!!' lineup," organizers wrote in a social media post.

They added there are some "past missed opportunities" addressed with this year's list. For example, singer-songwriter Tycho was supposed to perform during the 2020 concert before it was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Broken Social Scene played at a past Ogden Twilight show but its set was cut short because of lightning in the area.
