LAKE SHORE, Utah County — A fire in Utah County caused minor injuries Saturday and resulted in the loss of about 300 tons of hay.

A few vehicles and the hay barn were also lost after the fire started at a barn in Lake Shore, according to the Utah County Fire Marshal.

The fire started around 2:15 p.m. when a landowner was burning ditches in the area, according to a tweet from the Utah County Sheriff's Office. Wind in the area later picked up and the fire spread to the hay and barn.

Spanish Fork, Salem, Woodland Hills and Mapleton fire departments also responded to the fire.
