OGDEN — A fire affecting two condos at 864 East and 866 East on 5500 South on Saturday night injured two firefighters and caused an estimated $500,000 in damage, South Ogden Fire Department officials said.

Fire crews responded to the condos about 11 p.m. on Saturday and discovered one condo fully involved in flames, according to South Ogden Fire Chief Cameron West. During the response, one firefighter sustained an ankle injury and another became dehydrated, West added. No residents were injured in the fire.

Six different agencies and 32 people overall responded to the fire.

Fire crews were able to rescue two cats from the fire but one dog and at least one cat died, according to West.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
