KEARNS — Two people were injured after a car crashed into a house on Monday evening in Kearns, authorities said.

The crash occurred about 9 p.m. near 6200 South and 5600 West, according to Unified Police Lt. Paul Barker.

A Ford pickup truck was going east on 6200 South and may have been pulling out of the Walmart parking lot nearby, Barker said. The truck went across some gravel and then crashed into a house, he said.

A man and woman in the truck suffered injuries and were transported to Intermountain Medical Center in stable condition, he said. Their teenage son was also in the car, but he was not transported, Barker said.

No one inside the house was injured.

Police are still investigating the crash, but were looking at a medical issue or impairment as possible factors in the crash, Barker said. There were no signs of impairment at the crash scene, but officers were following up at the hospital as of early Tuesday morning, he said.

No other information about the crash was immediately available Tuesday.
