LEHI — A missing 19-year-old from Eagle Mountain was found dead in his car in Lehi Friday night, officials said.

Eli "Merlin" Dutson spoke to his mother on the phone Aug. 8 and disappeared soon after. Friends saw his car driving east on U.S. Highway 40 near Strawberry Reservoir a day later.

Dutson's brother was able to track the 19-year-old's cellphone to a Park & Ride near the Lehi FrontRunner station, according to Utah Transit Authority spokesman Carl Arky. He found his brother dead in his car about 9 p.m. — a week and a half after Dutson had initially gone missing.

Police have not released further information about the cause of Dutson's death but said there were no signs of foul play.

No further details have been released.
