WEST JORDAN — Three armed robberies at 7-Eleven convenience stores in West Jordan, Midvale and Sandy may be connected, police said.

At 3:45 a.m. Friday, two black males entered the convenience store at 2666 W. 7800 South in West Jordan and pointed what appeared to be black, semi-automatic pistols at the clerk and his friend. The robbers demanded all their money, and the clerk and his friend gave them everything they had, according to West Jordan police officer Scott List.

Soon after, at about 4 a.m., an employee of a 7-Eleven at 8020 S. State St. in Midvale reported that two black males entered the store, pointed handguns at the clerk and demanded money, according to Unified police spokeswoman Melody Gray.

After hearing that two other 7-Eleven convenience stores had been robbed nearby, a Sandy police officer headed to the 7-Eleven at 7800 South and 700 East to watch for suspects. When he arrived, the clerk came out and said he had just been robbed by two black males in their 20s. The officer missed the robbery by one or two minutes, according to Sandy Police Sgt. Jason Nielsen. That robbery occurred at 4:24 a.m.

One of the alleged robbers was wearing a black jacket with the hood up, a white bandana, black sweatpants with a white stripe down the side and black shoes with white laces. The other male was wearing a blue jacket with the hood up, a red bandana, tan pants and red shoes, Nielsen said.

Those with any information can call the West Jordan police at 801-256-2000, the Unified police at 801-743-7000 or the Sandy police at 801-568-7200.

Investigators pulled photos from surveillance footage, which have been attached to this article.
