OGDEN — A Roy man died after driving off the highway, through a fence, down a ditch and into a tree while traveling southbound on I-15 near Ogden Tuesday afternoon, officials said.
Jesse Buckley, 34, gradually drove off the right hand shoulder about 4:40 p.m. before hitting the fence and driving into the ditch, according to the Utah Highway Patrol. Emergency personnel tried to resuscitate Buckley before pronouncing him dead.
Buckley most likely suffered a medical issue prior to the crash, causing him to veer off the roadway, the Utah Highway Patrol said.
