SALT LAKE CITY — The Utes opened Pac-12 play Friday night with a 30-24 road win at Arizona, and moved up three spots to No. 20 in the latest AP poll.

Yes, Utah improved to 4-0 on the season — but it came with a cost.

Quarterback Tyler Huntley went down with an apparent shoulder injury, and defensive star Kylie Fitts was carted off the field with an apparent leg injury. Head coach Kyle Whittingham said that neither injury is expected to be season-ending, but did not give any further updates after the game.

So where do the Utes go under senior quarterback Troy Williams, and with a defense that allowed 200 yards rushing against the Wildcats.

Former Utah defensive lineman Christian Cox and BYU linebacker David Nixon break down the 1-0 start to conference play ahead of a much-needed bye week of rest and health, and also look ahead to BYU’s road matchup with Utah State. The Aggies are coming off a dominant 61-10 win at San Jose State — their first road win since Nov. 7, 2014, at Wyoming.

Can the Aggies take care of business at home against an in-state rival in the 1-3 Cougars? Or will BYU get back on track in a crucial post-bye week matchup?
