KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Konner Frey scored 23 points and Jaden Jackson and Marcel Davis had 18 apiece to lead Utah Valley to a 90-79 win over Missouri-Kansas City on Thursday night.

The Wolverines (8-11, 2-2 Western Athletic) made eight 3-pointers in racing to a 39-25 lead at the half, and went 25 of 26 from the foul line in the second half.

Frey made 5-of-6 shots, including all three from beyond the arc, and went 10 of 11 from the foul line. Jackson was perfect on eight free throws and Davis made 8 of 9.

The Kangaroos (8-12, 1-4) went 33 of 70 from the field (47 percent), including 8 of 25 on 3s, but were only 5 of 11 from the foul line. Shayok Shayok had 21 points, LaVell Boyd 20 and Dashawn King 18 for UMKC.

It was 78-72 with 1:54 to go but the Wolverines went 10 of 10 from the line after that.
