THE GREAT OUTDOORS — This weekly column highlights user-submitted photos and video of Utahns exploring our beautiful state. Watch for it each Thursday morning to get ideas for your next outdoors adventure.

Winter may not be your particular cup of tea, but Utah offers a wide variety of awesome snow sports and other outdoor activities during the winter months. While some residents enjoy hiking to frozen waterfalls, others go paddleboarding on the Great Salt Lake. Then of course there is always the traditional skiing and snowboarding at one of Utah's 15 resorts.

Whether you are into mountain biking, riding ATVs, boating, snowboarding, hiking or hunting, Utah can accommodate your outdoors needs — and we'd love to see photos of you in action.

Send pictures or video of your recent outdoor activities in Utah's backcountry to fjolley@ksl.com. We'd love to highlight your adventures — especially the winter sports this season.
