PRACTICE — It's training camp and summer workout season, as well as an NBA offseason, but that doesn't mean there isn't plenty to mention.

Or at least post to Twitter and Instagram.

Here's some of the best from today in sports.

Griffin super dunk

Blake Griffin did something comparable to Michael Jordan.

It may seem like blasphemy to put the Los Angeles Clippers star on the the level of the greatest NBA player of all time. But in Looney Toons lore, at least, the battle is getting close.

Griffin starred in a commercial for Jordan's new shoe Super Fly 4 alongside Marvin the Martian, Bugs Bunny and YouTube phenom Dr. Drain. In the commercial, Marvin comes to Earth and challenges Griffin to a duel, but the former Oklahoma standout calls for a dunk contest as his weapon of choice.

In "The Dunk to End All Dunks," Griffin shows up the 3-foot-tall Martian pretty well.

We won't spoil the show any more.

Football is coming

"Game of Thrones" author George R.R. Martin took a break from his next novel in the series that has spawned an HBO phenomenon to visit the New York Jets' training camp Wednesday.

Martin's appearance spawned several "hot takes" on Twitter — both about Martin, Thrones and the Jets.

An Arsenal of photobombs

Arsenal Football Club invited a few fans and season ticket holders at the club's Armoury store to take a photo with their new purchase of the 2015-16 jersey.

Little did they know, they wouldn't be the only ones in that photo.

The North London club's players were all hiding behind a black photographer's screen, and every time a new fan would go to have his or her picture taken, several of them would sneak out and pose behind the fans for a photo. The players had fun, too, using toy props like squirt guns and a stuffed version of Arsenal's Gunnersaurus in the event.

The players eventually reveal themselves, and some of the responses are great. One young fan is on the verge of tears as he is standing inches away from some of his idols, and a young family appears stunned at how tall Peter Cech is in real life.

Summer of squats

Don't tell Samford's Michael Pierce that he plays outside the "power 5" conferences.

The 6-foot, 309-pound defensive lineman took Wednesday to set a school record with a 725-pound squat, and one of his teammates captured it on video that was later uploaded to Instagram.

[My Favorite Max Day At #SU! Very Proud Of This One Here, My 725lb Squat Is The Most In Samford History! Let this be a lesson to the rest of us: don't skip leg day.
