PROVO — Incoming BYU guard Nick Emery injured his foot over the summer, a gruesome injury that required several stitches.
But he's healing well, according to a recent post on his Twitter feed.
Emery tweeted out photos of his ailing foot that he injured in non-basketball activities over the summer, and — while the injury looks gruesome — the healing over the last month is significant.

Former BYU football player and current radio host Ben Criddle said what a lot of people were thinking when they saw the progression.
@NickEmery04 dang have you been in that hyperbaric chamber?! Looking really good! — Benjamin Criddle (@criddler21) August 3, 2015
The Cougars will play a few games during a preseason exhibition tour of Spain this month before opening the season Nov. 7 with an exhibition game against Alaska Fairbanks. The Cougars' non-conference schedule, which has yet to be officially unveiled, also includes a trip to the Diamond Head Classic in Hawaii against Harvard, Colorado and other schools.
