SOUTH JORDAN — After going viral in 2012 for her skills as a 9-year-old football star, South Jordan resident Samantha Gordon is now featured in a Nike commercial with some of sports' biggest stars.

Nike's "Find Your Fast" campaign, announced Wednesday, features athletes like Serena Williams, Kobe Bryant, Michael Johnson, Marcus Mariota, Wayne Rooney, Rafael Nadal, Richard Sherman and more alongside Samantha Gordon in the "Legion of Zoom."

Gordon traveled to California at Nike's request where she had the opportunity to meet some of the adult athletes, like Sherman, along with filming the commercial. Her segment of the commercial is from the 20- to 23-second mark of the video above.

As Nike's press release for the campaign stated, "Nike’s 'Find Your Fast' campaign brings together some of the planet’s beacons of speed to inspire athletes to run or train for their fastest time this summer."

Gordon, better known as Sam, became famous after her father uploaded a highlight reel of her exploits running past boys her age in a youth football league in November 2012. Since, Gordon has appeared on a Wheaties cereal box, the first female football player to be so featured. She's also been invited to watch the Super Bowl by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

Gordon co-wrote a book about her exploits called "Sweet Feet: Samantha Gordon's Winning Season" in 2013. More recently, she was a founding member of the Utah Girls Tackle Football League for fifth- and sixth-grade girls.

The Nike commercial started airing Thursday.
