WEST JORDAN — Police were sorting out the details Thursday of an early morning stabbing.
A 52-year-old man called 911 from his Willow Cove apartment, 9300 S. Redwood Road, about 4:30 a.m. to say he had been stabbed, according to West Jordan Police Sgt. Dan Roberts. Investigators believe he was stabbed three or four times in the back and chest.
The man claimed that his roommate was responsible, Roberts said. The victim was taken to a local hospital where detectives planned to interview him again once he was out of surgery, he said.
Investigators contacted the man's 65-year-old roommate by phone. The man claimed he didn't do it and that there had been other people coming and going from the apartment all day, Roberts said.
West Jordan police were called to the same apartment about a month ago to break up a verbal dispute between the two roommates, Roberts said.
It was unknown Thursday if drugs or alcohol were involved. As of Thursday morning, no arrests had been made.
