SPRINGVILLE — We have all seen them. Cars and laptops plastered with every kind of sticker imaginable. However, after a short time, many of those stickers look faded and begin to peel, but a Springville company has developed a new sticker that literally stands out.

David Shaw and his team at CR Graphics Inc. are using a new process for printing 3-D, flexible stickers called Glyphix Icons that will not fade with time or peel as easily as other stickers.

With more than 30 years of experience in the field of graphics, the team at CR Graphics utilized a new technique to design and print the 3-D stickers in house. Shaw said that what really makes the stickers stand out is the ability to add texture and depth to the stickers.

Shaw said the chrome base and colors used are UV resistant and resistant to peeling on the edges unlike other stickers. Because the stickers are flexible, they can be applied almost anywhere, not just a perfectly flat surface. The Glyphix Icons also don't pull away like a ridged sticker, Shaw said.

“People love to express themselves on their cars and personal items," he said. "We saw a need for the 3-D chrome emblems we produce because they are more durable and attractive than said stickers. Glyphix Icons is focused on creating high quality designs and products that pop out and catch your eye. We love that our new carabineer emblem looks so realistic, it’s as though one was cut in half, and placed on your car."

Shaw said he and his team decided to create a line of stickers for outdoor enthusiasts after having success doing custom work for larger companies. With designs for a wide range of activities such as running, cycling, yoga and rock climbing, the team from CR Graphics recently used Kickstarter* to launch their new line of stickers.
