SALT LAKE CITY — Wintry weather finally arrived on the Wasatch Front on Sunday, dusting high elevations with a bit of snow and delivering freeze warnings for southeastern Utah.
A winter storm advisory was issued for huge swath of Utah, stretching from Logan in the north and creeping into portions of the Dixie region. The advisory also covered the Carbon County area and morphed into a freeze warning for Moab, Green River, Bluff and Blanding.
The predicted high of 48 on Sunday was a far cry from highs that reached into the 70s in some areas along the Wasatch Front on Saturday, with early November duplicating what turned out to be one of the warmest and driest Octobers on record for Salt Lake City.
It appears the dry, warm weather will return, with the week gradually heating up as the days progress, and a high of 63 forecast for Thursday and Friday.
