SPANISH FORK — Following the burglary of several cars and the use of stolen credit cards, law enforcement is looking for a female they believe is connected.
Around 8 a.m. on Thursday three vehicles were burglarized near the Spanish Fork River Trail, resulting in the loss of credit and debit cards, iPads and a cellphone, according to the Utah County Sheriff’s Office.
Shortly after, a woman was seen using a stolen credit card at Wal-Mart in Springville, the sheriff’s office said in a release.
Surveillance images obtained by the sheriff’s department show the woman as a caucasian in her 20s or 30s with reddish blonde or light brown hair tucked underneath a green hat. She is wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt, blue jeans and sunglasses.
The woman arrived at the store in a silver- or bluish silver-colored car with a black car bra. The sheriff’s office believes a passenger was waiting in the car while the woman was inside Wal-Mart.
Utah County Sheriff’s Office said other agencies were investigating similar crimes.
Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office investigations division at 801-851-4010.
