OREM — Police arrested three more people in connection with an unusual situation Sunday night.
A total of six people now have been arrested in connection with a kidnapping and stabbing in Orem earlier in the day.
More arrests are possible, according to police.
Investigators said the stabbing victim kidnapped a 17-year-old girl and was holding her hostage while two men went to collect a debt. Police said at that point, the girl's friends found the kidnapper at an auto repair shop near I-15, where they assaulted him and stabbed him.
The six people were arrested for a variety of things, including investigation of aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault.
The kidnap victim was returned to her family. The stabbing victim’s injuries were not considered life-threatening.
