SALT LAKE CITY — Peach Days is one of the biggest harvest celebrations in Utah, timed at the peak of the local peach growing season, and it just celebrated its 100th year. If you missed it, you can still find fresh peaches and many other delicious local products throughout Northern Utah this month. Here are five foodie destinations that are worth the trip.

Beehive Cheese

Beehive Cheese has become a favorite local product at farmer's markets and premium grocery stores throughout Utah in recent years. Award-winning varieties such as Promontory and SeaHive blend high-quality milk and local flavors for an artisan cheese that cannot be found anywhere else. Visit the Beehive Cheese factory store at the mouth of Weber Canyon in Uintah, Utah, just off of Highway 89.

Box Elder's Famous Fruitway

Box Elder County's Famous Fruitway is a two-mile stretch of Highway 89 between the cities of Willard and Brigham City where local growers sell fresh produce from roadside stands during the harvest season. Stock up on homegrown fruits, vegetables and other local products. Paul's Patch and Pettingill Fruit Farm are among the largest vendors, with a wide selection. At Pettingill's, you can choose fruit from the stand and have it made into a smoothie or shake on the spot for a fresh and delicious treat.

Cache Valley Gardeners' Market

The Cache Valley Gardeners' Market is Utah's oldest farmer's market, and it's still one of the biggest in the state. Find farm-fresh produce, artisan crafts, live music and special activities there every Saturday morning through mid-October. The Gardeners' Market, held at Horseshoe Park near 500 West and 700 South in Logan, will host its first Farm to Table Banquet on Sept. 13 in the evening. Local chefs will prepare market products in a variety of ways and serve them "food truck" style for a delicious, diverse and relaxed dining experience.

Mt. Naomi Farms

Mt. Naomi Farms is a third generation, family-run sustainable farm that offers pick-your-own strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and grapes from June-September. The farm promotes water wise and natural practices to encourage peak flavor and production year after year. Raspberries, blackberries and grapes are available to pick now. The farm, located at 1285 E. 4500 North in Hyde Park, is open Monday-Saturday in the mornings.

Bear Lake Raspberries

Raspberry season at Bear Lake is quickly coming to an end, but it's not too late to enjoy a fresh raspberry shake in Garden City or any of the other communities in Bear Lake Valley. The debate continues about which shop makes the best shake, but it's hard to go too far wrong with the delicious combination of rich vanilla ice cream and fresh, ripe raspberries.
