SALT LAKE CITY — The Metro Gang Unit is in search of its new Public Enemy No. 1.

Antonio R. Shropshire, 32, is a member of a violent street gang, police said, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Shropshire a 6-foot tall black man who weighs approximately 180 pounds. He has brown eyes, black hair and a tattoo on his neck. He has been charged with aggravated assault resulting in serious bodily injury, and he is also wanted by U.S. Marshals for a probation violation.

He is a convicted, multi-state felon with prior arrests for drugs, robbery, assaults, kidnapping, attempted homicide, weapons violations and burglary. Shropshire may use the monikers “A-Down” or “Bouncer.”

Police warn that he should be considered armed and dangerous. Individuals who provide information leading to the arrest of Shropshire may be eligible for a cash reward.
